Water Bottle Stations closed

The latest news today (Monday 12th January 2026) is not only that the South East Water crisis has spread beyond Tunbridge Wells to Headcorn, Maidstone and East Grinstead, but also that the Water bottle distribution centre at TW Rugby Club is not open. Having started their crisis response by sending water to the wrong town (Tonbridge rather than Tunbridge Wells) and having allowed this situation to continue into the new year, South East Water need to address this as a matter of urgency. This is not an 8 out of 10 crisis response. It does not warrant even 1 out of 10.

South East Water needs to ensure all residents of Tunbridge Wells have access to water. If they can't feed homes with a consistent service, they need to distribute water bottles to every property in the town.
